Leading the way

When over four years ago we firstly introduced on the market the revolutionary technology of FiberScan™, we changed forever the technology and principles of the drainage meters, setting what is now a standard in our Industry.
For the first time, thanks to FiberScan™, instruments based on dangerous and critical ionizing radiation, were substituted by a harmless, easy to transport and handle advanced microwave meter.
Today, FiberScan™ advantages are so obvious that few instrument companies are trying to copy its advanced, various patent pending technologies.
Cristini Engineering has a policy of constant innovation.
We carefully listen to our customers, and implement constant improvements in our products. This attention led to the development of the FiberScan™ MKII version, with new advanced features.

FiberScan™ MKII

FiberScan™ is a non-radioactive portable water mass instrument used for the collection, analysis, reporting and storage of data on paper machine forming sections.
The system includes a patent-pending microwave water mass measuring head, a handling and control “wand”, storage device, and Host FiberScan™ acquisition software.
The unit is portable and fully battery-operated. Operator safety and environmental protection are unique characteristics of FiberScan™, compared to other instruments using different power sources and measurement technologies.
The FiberScan™ multi-parameter water mass meter uses a new, patent-pending digital measuring technique to provide more accurate measurements over a wide range of water mass, and wide ranges and temperature.
The device has been designed to be rugged and concise in any operating environment while performing superior accuracy and sampling rates.
The ergonomic, light-weight and compact dimensions allow for comfortable and safe usage in demanding operating conditions.

Easy traveling

Unlike the traditional gamma gauges that perform similar studies on paper machines, FiberScan™ does not require any special licensing to be utilized and to be transported from country to country, or internally in one country, where many states or counties are involved. This results in significant financial savings for the users of this equipment.

High speed FFT analysis

Thanks to its new technologies, FiberScan™ samples at a record speed of 1024 samples/sec. This makes the instrument ideal to perform high speed FTT studies, impossible to obtain with the traditional gamma gauges. Head box pulsations, foils turbulence and any other cyclical variation related to the sheet formation can be carefully analyzed using the unique FFT features of FiberScan™.
A special OptiWave™ software package is available for the FFT analysis.
